“Life is like a party and parties weren’t meant to last.”
This was a very sad week for the pop world and world in general as we bid farewell to the legend that was Prince. I had planned to do this 90’s revival post and thought it ever the more fitting today as “1999” kept playing over in my head.
I really hope you enjoy this look.
Until next time,
While the jacket may be the stand out piece from this outfit, the ‘1990’ bodysuit from Zara is actually the inspiration. I was born in 1990 so when I saw this Baywatch-esque bodysuit I had to have it. I can see myself wearing this all summer long with denim cut-offs. The formal joggers are from Topshop and look really cool themed with the jacket but could also be dressed up with a nice blouse. I chose wedges as they give the look a summery vibe and are a great balance of dressy and casual for joggers like these. I wore these wedges walking around London for a whole day and they were absolutely fine. They also come in a gorgeous tan colour and look great with a summer dress.
The jacket itself is a really good purchase and I know I will get a lot of wear out of this one. I’m a faux fur gal and when summer hits, it kills me to put them away. However when you have a cool denim jacket to throw on then it’s not so hard to pack away the heavy coats. My go to denim is an over sized jacket from Topman that I got a few years ago so it’s no surprise that I headed to Topshop to pick up this one. This jacket is covered in retro appliques and gives it a vintage feel. I love the detailing but also the fit and feel of the denim and would definitely buy more denim from Topshop.
