I am not one for using oils, whether it’s on my face or in my hair. Maybe this mentality comes from teenage days when oil was in overdrive and blotting paper was my best friend. I’ve never suffered from acne but keeping my face looking matt has always been a priority. I even shy away from products that promise a “dewy” finish in case they will cause shine. However, I have heard so much about Rose Hip Oil that I was intrigued albeit nervous when I received this product to review. My skin has been kind to me (and I to it) in recent years so I thought I’d give it a go.
I hope you enjoy this post.
Until next time,
The oil from Ultrapure Laboratories comes in a pipette and just two drops is enough. You apply after washing your face and before moisturiser. I’ve been using it for nearly a month now and I tend to use it without moisturiser (my fear of too much hydration again). I use it before bed and love the feeling it gives my skin. I like to let it soak in while I sleep and when I wake my skin feels very smooth.
Rose Hip Oil has many qualities. It is one of the top anti-ageing oils on the market and is proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines. I’m all about prevention over cure so despite being in my mid twenties, I’m very keen to delay the ageing process! I can’t really comment on whether this does reduce fine lines but the fact that my skin has felt smooth and hydrated after use is definitely a good sign for me.
The antioxidants found in Rose Hip Oil are also meant to protect the skin from free radicals. I am a huge advocate for skin protection so this gets a big thumbs up from me. My skin definitely has a better texture now and doesn’t feel irritated by the cold.
It is also meant to have amazing healing properties and the fact that my skin is very clear at the moment I think I have to agree with this one.
So, will I continue to use this Oil? Absolutely. Will I start using it with my moisturiser? I think so.
*I was sent this Oil from Ultrapure Laboratories but all opinions are my own. This is not an ad.
