A different kind of Halloween Mask

Hi guys,

I’m sure you’re all trying to decide what mask to wear for Halloween but I have found the perfect mask for all seasons. There was a been a lot of hype around the Himalayan Charcoal Mask from The Body Shop and I was dying to try it out. It has been sold out for quite a while now and I was on a waiting list for when it was restocked. The Body Shop called me last week and I was delighted to finally pick up a pot. If you are following me over on Snapchat (yellowpolkadotb) you will have seen me use this mask and I have to say I was very pleased with the results.

I hope you enjoy this post.

Until next time,

The Himalayan Charcoal Glow Mask is meant to unclog pores and refine the appearance of pores. The mask is packed with ingredients to uplift the senses and reveal your skin’s healthy glow. It is inspired by Ayurvedic traditions and the mask contains Bamboo charcoal, exfoliating Green Tea leaves and Tea tree oil.

So what does it do?

  • Bamboo charcoal from the Himalayan Footfalls: Draws out impurities.
  • Green Tea Leaves: Exfoliates the skin.
  • Community Trade Tea tree oil from Kenya: Keeps skin looking clear.

How do I use it?

  1. Cleanse skin.
  2. Apply mask with brush or fingers all over skin.
  3. Leave for 5-10 minutes until until mud dries.
  4. Rinse off with warm water.

As the mask dries it changes colour and becomes harder on the skin. You can feel it tightening. For this reason I would recommend only using in T-zone if you have dry skin.

When I washed it off my skin felt instantly smoother and noticeably clearer. The mask is recommended to be used two to three times a week but I will probably use it once a week.

A brush to apply the mask is available from The Body Shop for €13.99 but can be bought for €5.99 if you purchase two masks. There are a number of masks in this new range including the Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask, the Amazonian Acai Energising Radiance Mask and the Chinese Ginseng and Rice Clarifying Polishing Mask.
