Lanzarote – Top Three Restaurants

If you read my post last week you will know that Lanzarote is a canary island that holds a special place in my heart.

There’s a unique atmosphere to the island. It feels unfiltered and raw. It’s a beautiful place to visit and unwind but it also offers some fantastic culinary options .

During my stay I was invited to try out a number of restaurants free of charge.

Please note I was not sponsored and all opinions are my own. Here are my top three.

1. La Carmencita Del Puerto

This restaurant is tucked away just off the main bustling promenade in the New Town. Fairy lights direct you into this beautiful, family run restaurant that feels so authentically Spanish.

The atmosphere is really unique as is the decor. The restaurant is filled with quirky nostalgia from the family and gives a real sense of home.

We were given such a warm welcome and started off with a jug of sangria.

The menu is eclectic with a serious focus on Spanish cuisine.

The food is traditional and homely and the whole experience makes you feel like one of the family. This is my number one spot to eat in Lanzarote!

2. Mumbai Masala

I also love some Asian cuisine when I’m holiday and Lanzarote has some of the best restaurants to cater for all your Asian tastes. We were invited to try Mumbai Masala on our visit and were not disappointed.

Make sure you come here hungry as portions are large. The chicken korma is probably one of the nicest kormas I’ve ever had.

This is a great place to share so I’d recommend getting a few main dishes, some rice and some naan and just tucking in.

3. Lani’s Gourmet Restaurant

*We paid for our visit here. It was not gifted.

This restaurant is part of the Lani’s Suites de Luxe hotel and it really is an experience. With views of the Atlantic Ocean and Fuerteventura this is a fantastic spot.

The restaurant serves fresh Mediterranean dishes with an emphasis on both simplicity and high cuisine.

I would highly recommend this restaurant if you want to add a bit of luxury to your stay.

Thanks again to all the restaurants for their kind hospitality.
