What do you want when you visit Italy? You want to enjoy the Italian experience and you want to eat fresh, local produce. When in Milan I found the cutest little cafe to do just that. Panini Durini offers daily made cuisine that remains faithful to the Italian tradition.
There are a number of locations in Milan where Panini Durini can be found. Chris and I went to Panini Durini Via Orefici which is the nearest one to Piazza del Duomo and makes it the perfect place to have breakfast before a day of sight seeing.
We were visiting Panini Durini in August so we got to enjoy the summer menu.
I ordered a matcha cappuccino and a slice of berry cake and Chris tried a smoothie and a traditional Italian pastry cake. We both really enjoyed the food and I felt refreshed and energised ready to explore Milan when we finished.
I loved the interior of the cafe, the minimalist decor and fun quotes on the walls. There was an open, airy feel and the cafe seems to have a broad demographic. From business people grabbing a take away coffee in one of the cafe’s iconic cups to students with laptops settling in for an hour, the cafe is suitable for everyone.
The cafe is currently running a ‘Solid Sandwich’ project in collaboration with Hug. For every ‘Solid Sandwich’ sold between the 11th of September and the 8th of October, Panini Durini will donate €1 to the project.
