That 70s Glam

Hi all,

The weather has been very unpredictable lately and so I was lucky to catch a few rays earlier in the week to shoot this beautiful outfit. I had the day off and decided to take a trip to Temple Bar. I love Temple Bar. It’s always busy and while some might call it a tourist trap I actually love the buzz in this area of Dublin. There are always cool art exhibitions open and there are some really interesting vintage shops. I spent some time in Lucy’s Lounge rummaging through their amazing vintage rails. The whole atmosphere in that store is incredible. If you follow me on snapchat(yellowpolkadotb) you’ll have seen snippets from my visit. The store is decorated in the wackiest way and is definitely worth a visit.

My outfit is 70s inspired and I felt that the carefree, artsy atmosphere of Temple Bar was a good background for this.

I really hope you enjoy this post.

Be sure to add me on snapchat(yellowpolkadotb) and over on Instagram too (yellowpolkadotbikiniblog) to be in with a chance to win my giveaway!

Until next time,

This outfit was inspired by the blouse. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. It is a beautiful loose fit with flared sleeves. I’ve themed it with the high waisted, 70s inspired skirt because I feel they sit really well together. The contrast in colour is great and the blouse fits nicely tucked inside.

I found accessorizing this outfit really fun. I picked this super cool hat from Zara that has jungle vibes because I feel  the colour really fits in and I think this outfit  needs a standout piece to finish it off. The bag is simple and easy to wear but the fringing really keeps it stylish and adds to the whole look.

I completed the outfit with some black tights and my trusty black, block heeled boots from Karen Millen.

Gorgeous outfit. I love the top, very pretty. I’ve worn 2 70s inspired outfits recently and really love the trend. So glad it hasn’t gone just yet! 🙂
